Tip 1: Book an appointment
We offer one-to-one appointments for:
- careers advice and guidance: tailored advice to suit your career aspirations
- CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile feedback: get expert feedback to enhance your applications
- practice interviews: build confidence with mock interviews.

Tip 2: Make the most of our events
Sign-up to a wide range of events, including:
- skills workshops: enhance your employability with practical sessions including:

Tip 3: Attend the Careers Centre Open Day
- Wednesday 11 September, 11am to 3pm
- 6 St Mary’s Place, St Andrews (opposite the Students’ Association).
Join us for a day of activities where you can:
- meet the team
- discover how to apply for part-time jobs and internships
- see demonstrations of career resources and CareerConnect
- enjoy refreshments, freebies and prizes!

Tip 4: Attend our Internship Celebration Day
- Thursday 12 September, 12noon-2pm
The Internship Celebration Day is the opportunity to connect with Career Centre staff and ask questions about our 2024/25 St Andrews Internship programmes. This event will take place in the Careers Centre, 6 St Mary’s Place, St Andrews (opposite the Students’ Association).
We have asked students that completed an internship programme this year to design a poster demonstrating their project objectives, experience gained and general reflections on the programmes, we will be displaying these poster in the Careers Centre and you are more than welcome to read and view the posters on display.

Tip 5: Attend our 2024 Careers Fairs
Meet a wide variety of employers and organisations in person at our Careers Fairs in October:
- Wednesday 2 October, 11am to 3pm
- Friday 4 October, 11am to 3pm
Both fairs will be held in the St Andrews Town Hall, Queen’s Gardens, St Andrews.

Tip 7: Sign up for a Saints Skills Award
The Saints Skills Awards help you develop and articulate the skills employers want. There are two awards:
- Saints Skills Builder Award, for developing new skills
- Saints Skills Spotlight Award, for highlighting your existing skills.
Both awards are open to all students and provide a great way to enhance your CV and make you stand out to employers.
