New! Santander Development Fund
The Santander Development Fund provides £250 to help University of St Andrews students complete work-related activity focused on personal development and skills development.
The fund can be used for things like:
- development courses
- volunteering
- dependents’ care costs
- conference attendance
- research expenses.
While priority will be given to these areas, applications for funding to cover travel and accommodation expenses relating to work experience opportunities will also be considered.
The Careers Centre will usually award one Santander Development Fund payment per student in an academic year.
Eligibility
The bursary is open to all matriculated students and postgraduates at the University of St Andrews.
How to Apply
Apply via: Santander Scholarship | Santander Development Fund (santanderopenacademy.com) (register your details with the Santander Open Academy if you don’t have an account and then apply for the fund).
After reviewing your application, the Careers Centre will notify you if it has been successful or not. If your application has been successful, we will process the award and let you know when the monies will be sent to you.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The fund will close once 60 applications have been successful.
Santander Open Academy
The Santander Open Academy is a free e-learning and training platform.
It provides access to:
- podcasts, videos, e-books and audiobooks aimed to help your personal and professional development
- online training courses, including MIT and Harvard Business School
- information about international internship opportunities
- grants and competitions to support your studies and next steps
- tools, resources and information to help you succeed throughout your academic career and beyond.
